Talent Incentive Program Grants (TIP)Wisconsin Discretionary Grant Program Program Description: The Talent Incentive Program Grant provides grant assistance to the most needy and educationally disadvantaged resident students attending eligible colleges and universities in the State of Wisconsin. The grant is designed to:
Who is Eligible to Apply: There are established TIP criteria that determine an individual applicant's eligibility for the grant, be: WI resident, First time college freshman and meet one Need and one Disadvantaged student criteria.. Continuing TIP awards are available for students who have received TIP if they have successfully completed their first year at a postsecondary institution. Enrollment status requirement is at least half-time. Only Wisconsin colleges (UW system, public and private WI colleges, and WI Technical Colleges) are eligible and applicants must be WI residents. Amount of Funds Available: Initial awards to Wisconsin residents enrolled as first-time freshman students range from $600 to $1,800 per year and are awarded on a first come first served basis until funds are depleted. Continuing awards are available if enrolled consecutive terms and continue to show financial need. Eligibility cannot exceed ten semesters. Application Due Date: Open until funds are exhausted.
