License Renewal Support Centers

License Renewal Support Centers provide assistance to educators who:

are not employed by public school districts or
used the professional development plan (PDP) option to renew a license in 2007, 2008, or 2009 or
hold a Wisconsin Initial Educator license and live out-of-state.

Services provided by the License Renewal Support Centers may include:

Identification and training of mentors.
Facilitation of ongoing orientation and support seminars based on the Wisconsin standards for initial educators.
Assistance in creation of a professional development plan.
Managing the professional development plan review process.
Training (with assistance of DPI) cohorts of professional educators in the teacher, administrator, and pupil service categories to serve on professional development teams.
