5. Wisconsin honored for data work

Wisconsin DPI received three awards for achievements in submitting educational data to the federal government through its new EDEN (Educational Data Exchange Network) system. EDEN reporting became mandatory in 2006-07.

The awards were a recognition by the U.S. Department of Education of the major effort involved in making the transition to reporting data through EDEN. The three awards were for:

  • submitting all 2006-07 non-fiscal Common Core Data (CCD) files through EDEN
  • submitting all 2006-07 membership, performance, and accountability data through EDEN in a timely manner
  • submitting 2006-07 data from 5 out of 6 categories of IDEA data through EDEN in a timely manner

DPI staff members Barb Ballweg, Tiffany Boyd, Nancy Fuhrman, Max Abeysiri, Partha Madanagopal, and Jon Wellskopf share credit for the work.
