Affiliate Early and Often: Dues are only $15 for the entire school year ($10 for national, $5 for state) and provide many opportunities for members and advisors. Chapter advisors can affiliate more than once in a school year and are encouraged to affiliate early. The membership committee has set a goal of 1,000 members, an increase from last years total of 918. As of November 1, 2009, the following chapters have affiliated: Appleton East, Appleton North, Cudahy, Milwaukee Madison, Monona Grove, Mukwonago, Oak Creek, Whitehall, and Wisconsin HOSA for a total of 320 student members and 9 professional members.
Wisconsins New Service Project is Friends for Health in Haiti. It was introduced at the Fall Leadership Lab where over 400 members and advisors learned about the project from Dr. Von Roenn, a leader in the effort to provide supplies and health care to this impoverished nation. Find out more by visiting the Friends for Health in Haiti website. See how your chapter can get involved by viewing the brochure created by Annmaree Dahlberg, the State Special Projects Coordinator.
Check out the Wisconsin HOSA Newsletter in the Program Information section. To be included in the next issue, please provide chapter news and photos to State Reporter Trish Kaiser at trish.kaiser@gmail.com.
Alumni Membership is free! Encourage all former HOSA members to join. See this flyer for more information.
HOSA Important Dates are listed here as well as printed in the Leadership Lab program. Please refer to it often.
