Task Force on Arts and Creativity Education

State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster and Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton have announced the formation of the Task Force on Arts and Creativity (TFACE) intended to strengthen arts education and ensure Wisconsin’s leadership in the emerging creative economy of the 21st century.

The two leaders have secured members from a broad cross-section of the business, arts, and education communities. The task force is accepting testimony from the public in forums being held across the state. They will examine state-level policies and local practices to determine their impact on the scope and access to quality arts and creativity education opportunities in Wisconsin; recommend refinement and changes to state level policies, as well as new initiatives, to support arts education, creativity, and innovation; and identify state and local agencies, organizations, and businesses that can collaborate to provide leadership and resources to implement the recommendations of the task force.
